Citizens Advice North Somerset (CANS) has received a pot of money from the Big Worle Legacy Fund to provide one-off grants to support residents of ‘The Blue Zone’ facing financial hardship.
The grants can be used to help towards essential costs, such as:
- Transport to town for CANS meetings
- Home delivery shopping passes
- Requests for children to go to after school club
- Gas and electric
Can I apply?
First things first, you need to check your address falls within the blue lines of the map below as this funding is only available to people who live in this area. If your address is outside the blue lines, then you will not be able to apply for this grant.

If you do live in The Blue Zone, you must also:
- Be over 18 years old
- Have not applied for the grant before
- Be in financial hardship (for example, be in need of crisis support, unable to cover the cost of essentials like food and bills or show that you have some other need).
- Be willing to engage with us to improve your financial situation in the long term. (For example, we can look at maximising your income through benefits and budgeting and support you to tackle any debts you may have).
If you are not eligible for this funding, but still need support, then please get in touch to learn more about the other options available to you and how we can help.
