Domestic violence and abuse

Domestic violence and abuse is the misuse of emotional, physical, financial or sexual control by one person over another.

What we do

We can offer general advice and information if you have been the victim of domestic violence. This can include providing you with information and advice if you have experienced violence. We will refer you to more specialist services if needed. We can advise clients on their options and where to get support if they need it when fleeing domestic violence.

What we don’t do

We cannot provide long term support and specialist legal advice when required, such as need to take the perpetrator to court. We cannot advise perpetrators of domestic violence or abuse.
