Citizens Advice North Somerset and Macmillan Cancer Support are working together to provide welfare benefits advice for people affected by cancer. 
 
Living with cancer can be expensive, your income may go down and expenses may go up. 
 
If you are struggling with the financial impact of cancer, there is help available.

We partner with Macmillan Cancer Support and other local offices to deliver free, confidential advice to support people affected by cancer.  

This service is for people who have a current cancer diagnosis and referrals can be made by that person, a family member or friend by filling in the contact form below. 

 
What can we help with?
 

Our specialist caseworkers can help with: 

  • Advice on benefits & maximising income.  
  • Making sense of complicated paperwork & discussing the best options for you.  
  • Applications for financial support & assisting with appeals against benefits decisions.  
  • Accessing other Citizens Advice services & issues such as employment, housing & debt.  
  • Applying for grants or accessing other charitable support.

How do I get in touch? 
 

Our South West Area (North) partnership consists of 9 delivery partners including Banes, Bristol, Gloucester, North Somerset, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Swindon, Reading & Wiltshire and we work together across the region to respond to any referrals we receive.  

To get in touch: 

  • Ask your Macmillan support worker or cancer nurse specialist to make a referral to us
